On Tuesday, September 18 at 01:57 UTC, the Publish Metadata Console experienced a service interruption for a subset of our customers. Initial analysis on the cause of the issue has revealed that the problem originated from the delete content process that initiated from the Library page. In rare circumstances, the Elasticsearch index, used to return content metadata feeds by Publish Metadata, de-syncs from the content database, causing a service interruption. The Publish Metadata team addressed the issue by manually forcing a re-sync of the Elasticsearch index. To mitigate the issue in the future, the engineering team will perform a deep dive to address the root cause in the content deletion process. Performance and stability are our team's top concerns and we'll continue to work in these areas for our users. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. Thank you for your support.
